Blogging in Ampara

So here I am in Ampara, teaching Linux to some more of the Sri Lankan teachers. Eris help them all.

Kunchana came down for Bud's wedding, and then went back to Ampara with me and the Mad Monk.

It was a long drive. Kunch and I almost didn't get to have any food at the wedding because we were running late. But a last minute intervention by Kanchana, Bud's new ball and chain, made sure that we got to have at least a bite or three.

It was almost 0100 when we landed in Ampara, and I crashed at Kuncha's place. Poor sod decided to be nice to me and slept on the couch the whole time i was there. I guess his parents are a good influence on the guy.

The training event itself was held at the Kavanthissa Vidyalaya in Ampara town, in the CRC there. The guys for the training came from all over the Eastern Province, travelling from Trincomalee, Batticaloa, and other places.

The team itself was excellent. Very interested in the subject, and really into Linux.

I'd write more, but 4 days of training has pretty much wiped me out. There is so much to teach them, but both they and I are pretty much shattered. I'll be writing more later, so I'll let the Eastern Province Hardware Team speak for me. All quotes were typed in directly by them, inclusive of typos.

This workshop is very good for our Harware team.Your teaching methodology was very interesting and enjoying. We have got more about linux so we thank you and Kunchana and specially for our Neal Sir. Thank You.
