No really, I am

I went off to Ambalantota a few days ago (21st June 06 to be precise) to do our Linux training thing. It was good to be out of Colombo again, even if we had to deal with a metric assload (as opposed to the Imperial Arseload) of stuff to do it.

Although we left Colombo on Wednesday, we spent the night at my dear old dad's Official Residence at Galle, and made our way southwards on Thursday. It was me and the Mad Monk. We went around the downsouth area, distributing Buddhist books. Me! Distributing religious literature!! Read on True Believer, it gets better.

We come to Ambalantota and end up at Theraputta National School. The same place we went on the road trip (see blog for somwhere in April). That was a pleasant surprise. We walked in to start our installations and the power went. That was not pleasant. Nor was it a surprise. So we wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait until 1830, when the power FINALLY kicks back on.

It was me, the Mad Monk, and three other teachers from the school. One of whom was also a priest. (I'll explain the difference in a later blog post.) Tried installing via PXE boot, and that didn't work. Things go from looking bad to real shitty. Finally finish the install at 2330, which is not a good time to go looking for a place to sleep.

The Mad Monk speaks to the other priest and they set up a plan. I'm gonna sleep in the temple. Oh fuck!!

We get to the temple and I'm so wasted i don't even LOOK at the place they have wet up for mte to sleep. All I know is that its a smallish building and it has a bed in it. That's enough for me.

I wake up the next morning and since its in a temple, put on a t-shirt and open the door to my room. There I am.. yawning and scratching my nads.. and I start to realise that the room is actually part of the temple complex. This is getting interesting. Look at the building and find there are four guardian stones at the corners. Realisation hits. Yours truly is in the seema maalakaya.

This is where the priests go to get upasampada or a level upggrade. they spend many years priestifying, then get the necessary XP to upgrade to the next level. And I slept in that holy sanctified room

a. They're gonna need a bunch of priests to re-sanctify the place after I slept there

b. No I did NOT jack off while in there. I was too tired to.
