Isn't it ironic?

Don't you think?

Many moons ago when the Sri Lankan Air Force attacked a supposed LTTE training camp/tamil orphanage (depending on who you ask) there was a great hue and cry. Never mind that the dead were kids (orphans and students or LTTE child soldiers depending on who you speak to) and that it was a pretty fucking sad thing to see. Our man with a Plan, Rambukwella said that they would kill al terrorrists no matter how old they are, or where they are situated

Fine. That's his thing.

They then started attacking suspected LTTE camps from the air, and launched a major offensive against the LTTE in order to "liberate more tamil villages"

Fine too. People were shouting and cheering. There were posters up screaming lets take this all the way to Kilinochchi

Then the LTTE bombs an army convoy in Habarana, and the next thing you know good old Mahinda is screaming and shouting that it is a terrible thing that the LTTE is attacking and killing off duty soldiers in civillian areas

OFF. DUTY. SOLDIERS.

Not kids, not anyone else. Guys in uniform. Isn't it ironic?

This morning the LTTE attacked Galle. They took a few boats in, blew up some navy boats, a bunch of them attacked from the land. If this was an attack in a tamil area, they'd be carpet bombng the place right now. But this is a sinhala area. The deep south, where people have never been affected by the war in any but the most distant terms. Mahinda's area. It is at this point that the air force decides that it can not bomb a civillian area.

its ok to bomb civillians as long as they are not in your vote bank I guess. Isn't it ironic?

I am not a supporter of the LTTE nor of the government (in any form). I just like to look at the irony of it all.

Isn't it ironic? Don't you think? A little too ironic?
